This is the upright weight of our primary LPL typeface. We use it for all headlines, predominantly in moments of Tension.

For moments of tension, we use our LPL Headline in its upright weight, creating confidence and dominating even when we’re not at our most expressive.

ERUPTION HEADLINES

For moments of eruption, we use our LPL Italic 28 weight of our headline typeface — creating an eruptive and expressive typographic statement. Our eruptive headlines also scale up, take over, and break the boundaries of our layout.

FLUID GRID 元素

In some expressive instances, our headlines can be layed out using a fluid grid, that splits up our headlines into single words, pushed to the edges of the layout.

Words can shift along their baselines, to create the feeling of a headline that has been impacted by an energy blast.

TYPE HIERARCHY 元素

Headline hierarchy

Our headlines should always maintain a strong sense of hierarchy. Headlines can be scaled between 1/6 to 1/3 of the desired applications height. This ensures an impactful headline size.

Sub-headline hierarchy

Our sub-headline should sit below our headline, at either 1/2, 1/3 or 1/4 the height of the headline to ensure a balance between both type sizes.

Secondary Hierarchy

The supporting typeface is used primarily for body copy and statistics.

This is our primary Chinese typeface. 
We use it for all Chinese headlines.

We use this for all body copy, technical information or elements that require a high level of legibility.

Wherever possible, we encourage the development of a fully bespoke LPL Chinese Headline typeface, to match our unique English Headline typeface, and to fully reflect our unique LPL personality.

TENSION HEADLINES

For moments of tension, we use our headline in its upright form, creating confident messaging even when we’re not at our most expressive.

ERUPTION HEADLINES

For moments of eruption, we sheer our Chinese typeface at a 28 degree angle, creating an eruptive typographic statement. This can also scale up, take over, and break the boundaries of our layout.
